Well done to Cath and the crew for organising the Come n Sing - what a blast! It was really enjoyable doing the workshop and meeting new people, and LOVED performing the Requiem that night. Thanks so much, S-J

A selection of comments that have been emailed to me....

"Thank you and the Orpheus choir for the opportunity to sing the Verdi Requiem.  It was a marvellous experience and the organisation was amazing.  I would also like to thank other choir members who went out of their way to ensure non choir members’ were made to feel welcome and knew what was expected. I look forward to attending the choir’s future concerts if I am in Wellington.  Concerts are much more interesting when you know something of the choir and its conductor"

"A quick note to thank you and the others at Orpheus for the Verdi concert. It was the most wonderful experience to sing (well, try to sing) in it. Over the next few months I'll build up my confidence before coming to see if I can get into Orpheus!"

"I was one of the many who joined your choir to experience the workshop and perform the Requiem.
I want  to convey my thanks to you and the Choir for the opportunity and for all the organisation and work which went into running an event with so many participants. It was truly impressive.
Then, of course, the musical experience! It was exciting to work under a conductor with such wide experience and ability to inspire; and equally exciting to learn a celebrated and challenging work like the Verdi in such a short time. As someone who has come to choral singing at a fairly late stage (although I have been a pianist and accompanist all  my life), I found this event a most satisfying and enjoyable experience. And - the performance seemed to go rather well!"

To our wonderful committee, Michael, Fiona, members of the Board and everyone else who worked tirelessly for our benefit last weekend...thank you thank you thank you. Rehearsing and performing the Requiem was such a thoroughly enjoyable experience, that I would have loved to have done it all again...t'was over far too soon! It was also a real treat meeting the other singers - I hope they enjoyed the event as much as we did. Michael, you're a champion - what more can I say except that I hope you're now well on the way to full recovery!

Fantastic experience at the Verdi Requiem - the 2 days were just wonderful. Thank you very much for superb organisation, and to Michael and Fiona for their usual exceptional efforts, and to Verdi for leaving us with such an inspiring work! Pat L
