Orpheus Choir Wellington is proud to be part of Orchestra Wellington’s largest collaboration of the 2026 season, joining an extraordinary assembly of Wellington musical forces for Berlioz’s monumental Requiem. With tenor soloist Kyle Stegall, Te Kōkī Orchestra, and four Wellington Region brass bands, this vast ensemble will make the Michael Fowler Centre truly resound.

While famed for its overwhelming power — from the fearsome Dies Irae to its thunderous brass and timpani — Berlioz’s Requiem is also full of surprising delicacy and restraint. Expansive, immersive, and profoundly moving, this is a rare chance to experience one of the great choral masterpieces at its full, awe-inspiring scale.
