Orpheus Choir Wellington hits the road with Vivaldi’s Gloria, bringing this landmark choral work to Carterton and Kāpiti.
One of the most recognisable works in choral music, Vivaldi’s Gloria unfolds in a rapid series of short movements, moving between full choir and solo voices with an energy and brightness that has made it a favourite for generations.
Glory brings together Vivaldi’s Gloria and a second, widely recognised choral masterpiece in a full concert programme.
These performances also feature Orpheus Scholars, emerging singers studying classical voice at Te Kōkī, the New Zealand School of Music, as soloists.
